Flaming Gorge Ranger District - Today and tomorrow crews are continuing fall prescribed burns between Greendale Junction and Firefighters Memorial Campground. This prescribed fire is to help remove excess vegetation, reduce wildfire risk, improve habitat, and restore fire-adapted ponderosa pine forests.

Smoke may be visible along roadways. Drivers should slow down and turn on headlights. Please do not report these fires, as firefighters will remain on scene throughout ignitions and patrol afterwards. No closures are in place, but the public is asked to avoid the area to not impede firefighters.

Unfortunately we have had more reports of more phishing attempts about upcoming reservations with us. These fraudulent emails, texts and phone calls are designed to trick recipients into sharing sensitive information or clicking on malicious links. DO NOT click on these links.

This has been very frustrating for us and I am sure it is for you. Since this happened, we are working on switching booking systems. Please be patient with us as this change takes time.

We wish we knew more how to prevent this, but we are working hard to do everything we can.
