It has been a long day on the Island, but we are looking forward to welcoming our guests back tomorrow!

Today was overcast, but still a great day to be thankful for minimal area damage. We hold space for our friends who did incur extensive damage to their properties and we pray for a swift recovery for all involved.

Please be mindful of any road debris or low level flooding on some roads/bicycle paths. Yards and pools may still be undergoing clean up/assessment. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Good morning!

We made it! We experienced heavy wind/gusts, rain, storm surge and some tornadic activity yesterday, but the Island and surrounding area is in tact!

THE EVACUATION ORDER HAS NOT YET BEEN RESCINDED

Preliminary reports sound favorable, but we still need time to assess the properties. We anticipate some localized flooding, blown about debris, possible road obstructions, etc.

Please allow us the opportunity to make sure the Island is safe for you. As of now, we are still anticipate that guests originally scheduled to check-in on Saturday (today) will still be delayed to check-in on Sunday (tomorrow). We are having to perform assessment, clean up and rescheduling of house cleaning. This takes time and coordination and local staff and contracted cleaners may have also evacuated the area.

Guests scheduled to check-in on Sunday will still be able to check in on Sunday as scheduled.

We will provide additional updates later today.

To Our Valued Guests:

We continue to prepare for the incoming storm. As of Friday morning, Hurricane Isaias has strengthened and although our area is not in the direct path, we anticipate receiving heavy rain and wind, flooding, possible tornadic action and storm surge.

Current weather conditions are wet and windy, making outdoor preparations challenging. Our last remaining guests have vacated SGI this morning and many homes will not be able to be cleaned until the evacuation order is lifted. With the uncertainty of the timing of the lifting of the evacuation order, and in order for our guests to be able to plan accordingly, check-in will be delayed until Sunday, October 11.

Guest arrivals scheduled for Saturday will be moved to Sunday for check-in, in order to ensure that roads are clear so our staff and housekeeping contractors can safely reach vacated properties to clean and prepare them for check-in. Guest arrivals scheduled for Sunday will take place as scheduled. Check-in time will begin at 4pm, if an earlier check-in time is available, we are happy to accommodate an early check-in. In these cases, we will contact you directly.

As we have seen with storms, we know that things can change and will report updates as we receive them.

We appreciate your patience with us as we work thru calls and emails. We understand the frustration and inconvenience this situation presents for your families, and your kindness and understanding has been gratefully received.

We look forward to sharing good news in the next few days, and welcoming you all back to our Forgotten Coast Paradise!

In response to TS Isaias increasing to Hurricane status, Franklin County Emergency Management has issued a mandatory evacuation order starting at noon today, 10/8/26, for all Barrier Islands, Alligator Point, Bald Point, low-lying areas, mobile homes, and RV parks. Evacuations must be made by Friday morning, 10/9/26.

This includes our St. George Island paradise 🏖️ 🥹

We are reaching out to all current guests, as well as those scheduled for check-in this weekend. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work thru our list of notifications. Please know we will keep you updated and informed!

⛈️ To Our Incoming Guests Thursday/Friday:

Franklin County Emergency Management has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Franklin County.

Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to strengthen to hurricane status on Thursday. It is too soon to tell whether our area will receive a direct impact but at a minimum, we anticipate strong winds, heavy rainfall, potential storm surges and localized flooding due to already saturated grounds.

More information will become available within the next 24 hours, with the main concern for impact being Friday afternoon into Saturday.
