With some restrictions, hunting is a allowed on most Antrim County properties, including popular natural areas like Glacial Hills Natural Area, Antrim Creek Natural Area, and Grass River Natural Area. Information on restricted areas can be found under the “Ordinances” tab on the County website.

Hunters: Please be aware the mentioned properties are popular sites for outdoor recreation like hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. There are some restricted zones where hunting is not allowed. Motorized vehicles are prohibited or restricted except in areas designated as roads or parking lots. Be sure to follow state laws regarding licensing and proximity to buildings and roads.

Non-Hunters: If you find yourself in the woods for a walk or a ride, avoid wearing colors that blend in to your surroundings. Hunter orange is highly recommended. Keep in mind the best hunting hours are early morning and just before dusk, but hunting is allowed between sunrise and sunset.
