Something happens this time of year where you find yourself fishing less and thinking more and more about hunting. The sounds in the woods and hearing that stick break behind you. That unique smell of fall. The first snow on the mountain. Testing your physical and mental strength to the breaking point. It’s not about the kill per se, it’s everything else that makes it so special.

Found this toothy critter the other day during our fish assessment with Herman Brothers Fisheries. This smaller class of fish is from our most recent stocking in our musky lake. Even at 8.75 Muskies stocked per acre of water there’s no guarantee they will strike, but when they do, especially the bigger ones, hold on cause it gets wild real quick!!!!
