Horseshoe Curve Outdoors is excited to announce that we currently have 9 German Shorthaired Pointer puppies available from Gunner × Heidi.

As a special bonus, every puppy placement includes an invitation to bring your pup back to Horseshoe Curve Outdoors this hunting season for a complimentary half-day upland hunt. We’d love the opportunity to see these young dogs develop and spend some time in the field with their new owners.

“Loco Joe” Smith made the trip from Arkansas to chase thunder with us at Horseshoe Curve Outdoors… and wasted no time punching tags.

Day one, Joe harvested a beautiful tom to officially complete yet another turkey slam — one of many impressive accomplishments over the years. But he wasn’t done yet.

On the final day of the hunt, Joe rolled another longbeard and kicked off the journey toward the next one.

That’s the thing about true turkey addicts… the chase never really ends.

Congrats, Joe. It was an honor sharing camp and making memories with you here in Eastern Oregon.

In his teens and still carrying himself like the legend he is.

Out here at Horseshoe Curve, there are dogs you remember… and then there are dogs that leave a mark on your heart forever. Bodie is one of those rare souls. From the very beginning he showed the kind of natural instinct most handlers spend a lifetime chasing. Birds just seemed to find him and he always knew exactly what to do.

Through countless sunrises, cold mornings, big hunts, and quiet walks back to the truck, Bodie has been steady, driven, and honest. He’s taught us patience, grit, and what true heart in a gun dog looks like.

He may have a little more gray on his face now, but his legacy runs deep in these fields and in every dog and handler that’s had the privilege to hunt beside him.

Legends aren’t made overnight, they’re built one retrieve, one point, and one unforgettable season at a time.
