What an INCREDIBLE evening we had this past Saturday at The Historic Pool-Kennedy-Lumsden-Peters House! ❤️

As we look back on such a wonderful night, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude!

We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out, everyone who shared our posts, helped spread the word, and showed us so much love and support!

From the tours of this beautiful historic home to the warmth of the fire, the laughter, the conversations, and the wonderful fellowship, it was truly a special evening!

We are beyond grateful for everyone who showed up, showed out, and supported us! Your encouragement, kindness, and excitement for this historic home mean more than words can express.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out last night for our Flashlight & Firelight event! What a beautiful and memorable evening filled with laughter, fellowship, friendship, and wonderful memories!

We are truly humbled by the outpouring of love and support shown to us by this amazing community. A special thank you to our dear friends who so generously brought food and treats for everyone to enjoy. Your kindness and thoughtfulness made the evening even more special! ❤️

As we continue this journey of restoring and bringing this beautiful historic home back to life, evenings like last night remind us that this house is about so much more than its walls and history. It’s about bringing people together, building relationships, and creating a place where our community feels welcomed and loved.

Thank you so much for joining me over the past several weeks as we explored the story of a house that became a home. A home that remained in the same extended family for more than 180 years, until I acquired it last year. Together, we have shared just a small glimpse into its rich history.

This home has brought so much love, faith, and appreciation for history into my heart in ways I never imagined. If only I had discovered this passion when I was younger!

The support and kindness of the Elizabeth City community, along with so many wonderful people from beyond our area, have been incredible blessings. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has cheered me on, encouraged me, offered a helping hand, and shared hugs, kindness, and love along the way. Your support has meant more to me than you will ever know.

After much thought and prayer, I have come to realize that it would be a shame to keep this home all to myself. With that in mind, I have decided to open its doors and share it with the community. Through rentals, educational tours, and community events, I hope others will come to appreciate and fall in love with this deeply rooted piece of history just as I have.

This property represents so much more than the walls of an old house. It is a place where the memories of generations past can inspire new memories for generations to come. I would love for you to be part of that story, and I look forward to creating those memories with you.
