Hi Northwind Lodge fans! It's been awhile since we updated everyone. Things are thankfully back to normal here in Ely! We have had enough rain to keep the fires tampered down and the amazing fire crews have been working to contain the areas that are still potential problems if heat and wind start up again. The weather has been AMAZING for several weeks with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.

Here are some pics that show what the fires crews trimmed around our buildings to try to protect our property! The propane tank in the one picture wasn't that visible before! Not quite as pretty but things are already growing back and we are grateful to them for their hard work!

Hi Northwind Lodge fans! We want you to know that we are all safe but have evacuated from our cozy resort and lovely Jasper Lake! We are praying that the fire remains to the north. It is just a few miles away.

As many of you know, small, classic resorts like our have been closing at record pace over the last few years. We are working very hard to make our cabins a cozy place for families to enjoy the Ely area and all it has to offer! We pray that we will have the opportunity to continue for many years to come. This year will be particularly difficult if we are shut down for an extended period of time, so please keep your positive thoughts and prayers coming!

If you have plans to be here later this summer, THANK YOU! We hope that things will calm down and we will be open for business! We will be in touch.

THANK YOU all for taking the time to send us best wishes as well! We appreciate our guests so much and miss the quiet beauty of our little secluded spot!
