We do encourage our friends and family to book with us directly. It is the best option because it offers the best value for both you the guest and us the hosts. But we have made many new friends from guests finding us on Airbnb. We are proud to have received this status on the Airbnb app. It is not easy to get. It means that we are no longer rookies at this hosting job. It means that we have a high guest rating. Still 5 ⭐️ by the way. It also means that we take this seriously. We respond to questions quickly. We care about the guest experience. As we are approaching the end of our first year we are thankful for those that picked the Sleeping Bear Hemma no matter how they found us!

Meet one of the most talented and hardworking short-term rental hosts in the game. Not only did he dream up the vision for this gorgeous space, but he literally built it with his own two hands (and a whole lot of late hot nights in a camper and sawdust). Eric Hune engineered an entire experience from the foundation up. And the hospitality? Next level. Being an amazing builder is one thing, but being a genuinely phenomenal host who anticipates every guest’s need before they even arrive is a rare superpower.
