Historic Breckenridge Hotel and Convention Center, Emporia KS High School being redeveloped as Hotel

The hotel/convention center is the rehabilitation of a historic school formerly known as Emporia High School, built in 1914. When completed in the fall of 2014, the Historic Breckenridge Hotel & Convention Center will have 86 hotel rooms, a large ballroom with seating capacity of 400, an auditorium with stage with seating capacity of 400, 4 breakout rooms that can seat up to 70 per room, executive

board room, exercise facility, breakfast area and bar and will be a part of the Ascend Hotel Collection. Emporia is the perfect location for meetings of this size with its easy access to the Turnpike, I-35, Highway 50, Highway 99 and Emporia’s Municipal Airport. These positive locations quotient factors are in addition to the Hotel/Convention Center being centrally located between Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita.
