In need of a dose of artistic inspiration? Make sure to head up to the north end of Ephraim and check out Fine Line Designs Art Gallery's first exhibit of the season. The exhibit runs through Monday, July 6 and features three distinct artists:

Sherri Thomas: An oil painter whose expressive work blends rich color palettes with layered textures. Inspired by direct observation of nature, she often works en plein air to capture the changing light, color, and atmosphere of the landscape.

Martha Fieber: A fiber artist whose "Landscapes in Thread" are built layer upon layer with intricate hand-stitching. Working with single strands of silk, rayon, and hand-dyed cotton, her work invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all things.

Ed Lazzeroni: A mixed media artist working mostly in metal, using etching, grinding, burnishing, and torching techniques enhanced with acrylic paint.

Fine Line Designs has three exhibits throughout the summer. To learn more about their 2026 schedule, head here: https://www.finelinedesignsgallery.com/2026-season

The Peninsula Pulse Newspaper recently shared this photo of Ephraim circa 1955, and we couldn't help but reshare!

Of course, there's Wilson's and the Village Hall...and a whole lot of Pontiacs, Buicks, and Lincolns.

How many of you have been coming up to Ephraim since 1955? We'd love to hear from you about what you remember from this era of Ephraim!

Did you know there are two new bakeries in Ephraim? Just when you thought you couldn't pack anything else into our little village..

Here are the details!

Red Barn Biscuit Company, located in North Ephraim (look for the big red barn AND the big red tractor!) plans to serve up fresh, fast, and homemade breakfast options seven days a week. Offerings include classic breakfast sandwiches (like the one you see here) and sweet options like biscuit dough cinnamon rolls.

Closer to Ephraim Shores, Eagle Bakery is serving up artisan croissants and pastries from the lobby of the Wilder Inn (formerly the Village Green Lodge) on Poplar Street...just a few steps away from us.

Head to their social media pages to learn more about open hours and more! It's going to be a delicious season in Ephraim, that's for sure.

Ephraim's annual Fyr Bal Festival is celebrating 61 years on Saturday, June 20, and you're invited!

Meaning "Fire Ball" in Norwegian, this festival is about the burning of the winter witch and ushering in the long days of summer.

if you've never been to Fyr Bal, here's what's in store:

🌅 Stunning sunset views over Eagle Harbor (this happens ALL the time, but we think the sunsets are magically better on Fyr Bal weekend)
🔥 Glowing bonfires lining the beach at dusk
👑 The crowning of the Fyr Bal Chieftain (honoring a person in the village for their outstanding community service)
🎶 Live music, food, and family fun
🎆 A spectacular fireworks finale over the water

There's no better seat in the house than right here at Ephraim - Door County, Wisconsin! Watch the harbor glow from our waterfront, then stroll into the heart of the celebration.

In addition to Wilson's 120th anniversary, there's also another big anniversary in Ephraim: the 80th anniversary of the Friends of Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport

Show of hands...how many people knew we had an airport?

The airport is celebrating 80 years with a community open house this Saturday, June 6, with up-close aircraft displays, aviation history exhibits, live music, and refreshments. It's also teaming up with the Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles program, introducing kids to the wonder of flight through hands-on activities.

First taking shape in the mid-1940s and officially opening to flights in 1947, the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport has long been more than a runway. It's a vital part of Door County's emergency services, tourism, and general aviation community.
