Rustic Ridge

❤️ One year ago today, Little Poppy made her entrance at Rustic Ridge! 🍂

It's hard to believe this sweet little girl is already a year old! We still remember the excitement of finding her tucked safely beside Mama under the trees.

One of the sweetest parts of life here at Rustic Ridge is getting to experience these little moments and watching our Highland family grow.

Happy 1st birthday, Poppy! ❤️

I would like to ask a favor of all our followers, if you could hit that little share button to help us get this new property off and running. This is our VRBO link, but booking directly always gets you the best price!

Thanks for your support. 😁

Prepare home-cooked meals in the kitchen of this 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom rental, which also features a private deck, a garden, and a firepit. Connect to the WiFi, or get cozy in front of the Smart TV.

Has anyone else's feeds been full of Airbnb related posts? Ours probably more than anyone since short term rentals are our business.

Huge changes are coming and they are not good for anyone! We do not list on Airbnb so I don't have all the specifics but a lot of hosts are leaving that platform with their ridiculous new rules.

We only list on VRBO, however they seem to follow Airbnb's lead so these changes will likely come our way also. IF they do we will not use them.
VRBO has already sent notice that the owners will be paying a 4% increase.

At the end of the day, if you want the best rates book direct with the owner! It's easy with us, just pm our page (or our Garden of the Gods Getaway page) skip the fees!

If booking at other destinations look for clues like property names or management companies and reach out for them directly.

Short term rentals are still the best option and way better than hotels in my opinion. That being said the colors are starting to change in Southern Illinois and we have openings at Garden of Gods Getaway and a few days here and there at Rustic Ridge

Be safe!

Heads up for your weekend outdoor plans! Illinois Youth Fi***rm deer season runs this weekend. If you’re planning to explore or hike nearby trails, please avoid active hunting areas and wear high-visibility blaze orange for safety.

We are going to do a winter special this year.
(January, February, March)
Nightly rate.
-1 bedroom $200
-2 bedrooms $250
-3 bedrooms $300
-2 night minimum
-2 people per room max
-6 people max

P.S. kids count as people too, so not 6 adults and 3 kids. That is not ok.

This is for Garden of Gods Getaway as well.
