Alder Brook Cabin is a small rustic lodge on the edge of the woods. It features a single room with attached screened porch, bunks for two, electric lights, a small fridge, coffee maker, microwave and WIFI. Enclosed outdoor hot and cold shower and marine style toilet are located twenty five feet away. The porch is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, a glass of wine or tumbler of scotch in
the evening. There is a fire pit with benches outside for cozy evenings by the fireside and marshmallow toasting. This is "Glamping" at its best: almost camping but without the bugs and sleeping on the hard ground! Instead, be close to the outdoors but enjoy fresh flowers, pressed sheets, lush cotton bath linens, and the hottest, strongest shower you've had in years. What more could you ask? We are ten miles outside of Burlington and four miles out of Essex Junction. Stowe and Ben and Jerry's are a forty minute drive. A multiplex theater, grocery and outlet stores, restaurants and mini golf are all found within a mile of the cabin. Parking is a few feet away onsite and we are on a limited bus route. (no weekend service)
This is a place for folks who want to "rough it" a bit but still maintain some creature comforts. We love it but it's not for everyone. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. This year the cabin has been completely redone inside to add a more camp-like feeling. We hope this will provide an even more enjoyable experience for our guests.
