One of the best parts of an Estes Park getaway? Sometimes you don't need an itinerary at all. ❤️

Start your morning with a cup of coffee from Kind Coffee, then spend some time wandering downtown, following the Riverwalk, popping into local shops, and seeing where the day takes you. Kind Coffee is right along the river and is a great starting point before exploring town.

💎 Make a stop at Fall River Jewelry — such a fun shop to explore with beautiful jewelry, gems, minerals and unique finds.
🛍️ Then wander through Trendz at the Park. Their selection is always changing, with everything from home décor and artwork to gifts, jewelry and fun things you didn't know you needed.
🍕 When you're ready for lunch or dinner, Poppy's Pizza & Grill is another favorite. Grab a table, enjoy pizza, burgers or comfort food, and relax along the river in downtown Estes Park.

And don't forget to leave some time to simply walk along the river, browse the shops and enjoy being in the mountains. 🏔️

🍂 Planning a Shorter Stay in Estes Park? We May Have Room for You! 🏔️

One of the most common questions we get at Silver Moon Inn is: “Do you always have a 3-night minimum?”

During most of our busy season—from Memorial Day through mid-October—we do typically have a 3-night minimum stay. However, as dates get closer, we often reduce that minimum when we have openings between existing reservations.

✨ Right now, we’ve opened up shorter weekday stays through September 25th!

So, if you’ve been wanting to sneak away to Estes Park for just a night or two, check our website—you may find the perfect opening! Fall is just around the corner, the elk rut is beginning, and it’s a beautiful time to enjoy Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. 🦌🍁

And a little insider tip: If our website is showing a 3-night minimum, give us a call! Depending on our reservation schedule, we may be able to fit a shorter stay between other bookings. We can’t always make it work, but we’re always happy to check.

🌊 There’s just something about the sound of the river in Estes Park. 💙

It’s absolutely beautiful in Estes right now, and the Fall River is flowing right alongside Silver Moon Inn. This view is just outside our Deluxe Rooms, with Performance Park right across the river. 🌲🏔️

🏔️ Bear Lake is popular for a reason. 💙

Located in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Bear Lake area is home to some of the park’s most iconic scenery and best-known trails. From here, you can explore favorites like Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, Emerald Lake, and Alberta Falls—all absolutely beautiful and well worth experiencing.

But here’s a little tip: don’t be afraid to keep going. 🥾

Venture farther into the backcountry toward places like The Loch, Lake of Glass, Sky Pond, Mills Lake, Black Lake, or Andrews Glacier, and the crowds can thin out dramatically. On some of the longer trails, you may find stretches where it feels like you have the mountains almost entirely to yourself. 🌲⛰️
