It’s very interesting, I thought I obtained an albino Betta fish. Since they are rare I read up on them and sure enough, I thought “this fish is blind as heck”. He can’t see the food as I drop it in, I have to make all kinds of motions to direct him to the food. Then he swims past it. I thought what a picky fish - no he just can’t see. He’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve taken to feeding him a small amount 3 times daily and make sure the pellets make a good plop in the water so he can find them.
I also thought he was sleeping, eyes closed all the time - no, those are mostly his pigmentless eyes I guess. He’s been amazing to learn about.
