Dancing Club of Evanston Not an accomplished dancer? Don't worry! Many of us are beginners who learn, watch, socialize and simply enjoy an elegant evening out.

The Dancing Club of Evanston invites anyone with a sense of fun and the willingness to get up and dance to its five dances per year, all held at the Hotel Orrington in downtown Evanston, Illinois. Founded in 1915, the Club’s black-tie-optional events are open to all guests and feature an hour of cocktails and dance instruction, a fully-catered dinner, and dancing to live dance-bands into the night

(waltz, foxtrot, swing, cha-cha, tango, and other forms). The Club generally hosts an opening dance in September, a “Black and Orange Ball" in October, a "Holiday Ball" in December, a "Sweetheart Ball" in February, and a "Spring Swing" or "Tax-Time Tango" to conclude the season. The cost of each dance is $80 per person -- $60 per person if you are a first-time guest or a Member of the Club. Annual Club Membership is $75 per person.
