A little warmer this morning with the temperature at 54. Guests enjoyed a hot out the oven breakfast at 8 am and left immediately after breakfast. Savannah first took care of laundry and then did breakfast set up. Breakfast cleanup was quick so Savannah has already started on catching up on preparing guest rooms for the next incoming guests. Mason craftsmen are here working on the new marble steps we installed on the south porch. Traveling Innkeeper yesterday put a second coat of fresh white paint on the door surround of the south porch entryway. Today he is going to install the outside door to the south entrance.

Sunny colder summer morning with a temperature of 49 degrees. Breakfast sausage casseroles were made last evening by traveling Innkeeper with son Alex's help. Fresh orange zest scones with thick orange glaze were prepared this morning. Recipe makes 18 large scones that are very soft. First guests sat down to enjoy a hot breakfast at 8 am and then a family of six came to the breakfast table at 9 am. Savannah took care of breakfast setup then moved onto putting clean linens away and some ironing, Both traveling Innkeeper and Savannah were servers this morning. Today's high will be 76.

Solid grey skies on this cooler summer morning with a lovely breeze. First guest came to breakfast at 8 am to enjoy an egg & cheese soufflé with maple bacon. Pastry of the day were cinnamon pecan bun scones with thick glaze. Second breakfast time was 8:30 and then 9:00 am. Guests had "Company" eggs, with their bacon and scones. Savannah arrived early at 7 am to complete breakfast set up, fill water goblets and put out butter packets and individual cream cheese. Traveling Innkeeper took care of preparing three pans of bacon. Chef arrived in the kitchen at 6:40 am to get all the egg dishes and scones prepped. Rain showers are in today's forecast.

A cooler morning with guests coming to breakfast at 8:30 and 9:45 am. It was waffles again with warmed Vermont maple syrup to go with hot egg & cheese dish and/or maple bacon and sausage. One couple checked out way to early to enjoy breakfast. All guests checked out and more room arrive this afternoon. The high today is a very comfortable 73 degrees,

Blue sky this morning as guests had coffee at 7 am and breakfast at 8:30 & 9:30 am. Guests stay another night and more guests arrive today. Traveling Innkeeper got downstairs early to start coffee and Chef followed soon after to start on breakfast prep. Our Inn hosted the Friday 10 am Bible Study with DeeDee Bruce bringing scones from Michelle's Sweet Creations & Bagel Cafe to have with freshly brewed coffee. The scones were large and delicious! Thank you DeeDee!

Our Inn has received a new 5 Star TripAdvisor review from a couple visiting their family in Fair Haven. They stayed in our first floor room due to mobility issues. This is our 192nd 5 Star TripAdvisor review. We have been in business now for seventeen years. For the past two years new TripAdvisor reviews come in very slowly.

Another morning of solid grey skies after night time rain showers. Warmer temperatures this morning while guests enjoyed breakfast at 8:30 and 9 am. Laundry was got up on yesterday so more ironing today. One room stays two more nights and one room arrives today. Need to start thinking about fall decorating,

Solid grey skies again with rain in the forecast. First breakfast was at 8 am and the second at 9 am. Breakfast assistant was Savannah and traveling Innkeeper prepared one pan of maple bacon. One couple has checked out so the flipping of one guest room has already started. One more room arrives this afternoon.

On this day of on and off again light rain showers the traveling Innkeeper is scrapping paint off on the south porch door surround. Guest have arrived and left to attend a wedding reception. Savannah spent all day ironing.

Early morning fog with the ground warmer than the air. It is catch up day for laundry and flipping rooms. No guests arrive today giving us time to completely catch up before a busy week starts tomorrow with two rooms of guests arriving. Savannah finished flipping three rooms yesterday. Innkeeper finished two loads of laundry yesterday evening and two this morning. There will be a lot of ironing to do since we iron pillow cases & sheets. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes in a busy Bed and Breakfast. Our son, Alex helps traveling Innkeeper with the heavier work out in our yard. Trimming trees was yesterday's yard project.
