We planted a smoke tree in our yard last year. In the spring, I decided to name it Mona. I wasn’t sure if it was disrespectful or not but then a coworker told me she thought it was beautiful. It gives us a reason to speak my Mom’s name every day. And I love that….. Mona will be strong and beautiful just like my Mom was….
