Great reminders for all coaches and parents!

Great reminders for all coaches and parents!

Athletes don’t perform the same in every brain state.

In seeking mode, they’re curious. They’re open. They’re willing to try, fail, adjust, and keep going.

In threat mode, everything feels different. They feel watched. Judged. Afraid to mess up.

And here’s the important part: you can’t pressure an athlete out of threat mode.
Sometimes the best thing we can do as parents and coaches is create enough safety for curiosity to come back.

Because when athletes feel safe enough to explore, that’s where growth happens.
