It's HEEERRREEEE! Today is the day!! Trunk or Treat will begin at 5:30PM and run until 7:30PM. You can get supper anytime during those hours or until we run out ;) As you come into the park tonight you will need to park along the fence lines in the grass, pull in with the front of your car at the fence. Please do not parallel park as that will take up more room. Please be courteous when parking and leave as much space as you can. We are NOT allowing anyone to travel past the totem pole in a vehicle during Trunk or Treat for safety reasons. You will need to park and walk your kiddos through the area. Make sure and visit the back electric and the front camping areas as well! ALL CAMPERS HAVE CANDY!!
7:30PM- Pumpkin Carving Winners announced. MUST BE PRESENT
7:35PM- Costume entries will line up and winners will be announced.
7:45PM- Quilt winner will be drawn. Tickets can be purchased up until 7:30PM!!

We can't wait to see everyone.

❤️ A Friendly Reminder About Freewill Donations ❤️

When we offer meals for a freewill donation at Indian Lake Park, our hope is to make good food available to everyone while raising funds for park improvements and upgrades. Every meal comes with a cost to the park, and our goal is not only to cover those expenses but to raise a little extra to help make our park even better! We understand everyone’s circumstances are different, but when you're able, please consider giving generously. Every single dollar dropped into our donation bucket makes a difference, and we truly appreciate your kindness, generosity, and continued support of Indian Lake Park! ❤️

2026 Hunting Season information and FYI:

Dads and Moms!!!- YOU MUST HAVE YOUR CHILD'S SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND BIRTHDATE TO BUY A YOUTH TAG!! I CANNOT SEARCH FOR THEM WITHOUT IT.

Landowner tenant- All landowners, tenants, and their eligible family members must register with the DNR before obtaining a LOT deer and/or turkey hunting licenses. The electronic licensing system will not allow me to sell a landowners tag to unregistered owners/tenants. Register online or download a registration form from the Iowa DNR website: iowadnr.gov/lot

Habitat Fee- be sure and purchase your habitat fee to hunt. Only residents hunting on their own land, have a vet lifetime license or have a non-ambulatory deer license and those under 16 or over 65 are exempt from purchasing the license.

HIP Survey- All licensed hunters pursuing migratory game birds are required to register for HIP either through the Go Outdoors Iowa app on their smartphones or through a link at iowadnr.gov/waterfowl. Migratory game birds include doves, ducks, geese, coots, woodcock and snipe.

Residency- If a customer record indicates that they are non-resident when trying to purchase a license I cannot change it on this end. Customers MUST submit the Change of Residency Request Form and supporting documents to the DNR. Once submitted it can take up to a week or two to update the residency status.

Deer licenses- Deer license sales will begin at 9am on August 15, which is a change from previous years. Online deer and turkey license sales will stop two weeks prior to season opening to ensure tag delivery. Our office hours are 9am-5pm. If you are local and cannot get out to my office by 5pm call me and we will make arrangements to purchase after 5pm.

NEW deer zones for Resident Hunters: Iowa now has two zones for resident deer hunting: Zone A and Zone B. Hunters my purchase up to two General Deer licenses, including any combination of Zone A or Zone B licenses, consisting of no more than one archery season and one fi***rm season tag of choice.

January Deer Seasons
January Antlerless Population Management- The population management January antlerless deer only season has been conditionally reinstated in Allamakee and Winneshiek counties. The season will be reinstated in each county ONLY if the number of unsold county antlerless deer only licenses exceeds 100 on the third Monday in December. License will be available the same day the season is reinstated. In this season, any method of take is acceptable (bow, sh***un, r***e, etc.)

January Antlerless Excess- The excess tag January antlerless deer only season is available in all counties with unsold county antlerless tags on Jan 10. County specific antlerless license quota information is available in real time online at www.gooutdoorsiowa.com/RealtimeQuotas.aspx Licenses will be available beginning January 11, until quotas are filled. Due to the compressed timeline, these licenses will not be available online. Only antlerless deer may be taken during the excess tag January antlerless only season. In this season you may only hunt with approved r***es only.

If you have questions about the zone rules or anything else in regards to hunting please refer to the Hunting and Trapping Rules and Regulations Manual.

Trunk or Treat and Halloween Hype is just 12 days away!! If you are one of the businesses/ non-profits that I mailed a letter and you plan on attending please message me so that I can plan ahead for space. If you did not get a letter it is because I didn't have an address to send it to or I mistakenly forgot. Please reach out and we will have a spot for you!! We are going to try something new this year and will be blocking off the area from the stop sign by our house so that people cannot drive through the area of trunk or treating. We will have somebody at the sign to direct traffic and allow you in to set up. Please remember that your little's can also trick or treat at all the campers. We tell our campers ahead of time to bring candy and expect visitors :) We are so excited to be a part of this annual event!! Thank you to everyone that participates!

From both of us at Indian Lake Park, we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single person who stopped out to see us during Scenic Drive 2026! Whether you came for breakfast, enjoyed some sweet treats, stopped to visit, or simply showed your support, please know how much we appreciate EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! ❤️

Our little village of Farmington, Iowa, may be small, but let me tell you something... WE HAVE BIG DREAMS, BIG HEARTS, AND SOME PRETTY AMAZING PEOPLE!

Little by little, we are putting our beautiful little town BACK ON THE COUNTY MAP, and we are determined that FARMINGTON WILL BE A DESTINATION, NOT JUST A PLACE YOU DRIVE THROUGH! 🍓❤️

We have an incredible group of business owners, hardworking ladies and gentlemen, volunteers, and friends of Farmington who are pouring their hearts, time, energy, and sometimes their own money into making great things happen in our community. They aren't doing it for recognition. They're doing it because they BELIEVE in this little town and everything it has to offer!

And we are SO PROUD to be a part of it!

There is something truly special about small-town Iowa. It's the people, the friendships, the willingness to lend a hand, and the pride we take in calling this place HOME.

We are blessed beyond measure and truly honored to live, work, and give back in this little piece of IOWA HEAVEN! ❤️

So thank you for showing up, supporting our efforts, and believing in Farmington right alongside us. We're not finished... WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 💪🍓

Small town. Big hearts. BIG things ahead!

❤️ With grateful hearts,
Nate and April
