๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ Celebrate World Bicycle Day at Leatherwood Mountains! ๐๐ดโโ๏ธ
Did you know that Leatherwood Mountains sits right in-front of Wilkes County's official bicycle route system?
While bicycles are not permitted on Leatherwood's horseback and hiking trails, cyclists can enjoy more than 15 miles of paved roads winding through our beautiful gated mountain community. With scenic overlooks, rolling mountain terrain, and very little traffic, it's a ride unlike any other in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Leatherwood Entrance is located directly on the county-designated Darby Route, which can also connect to the Lake Loop for cyclists looking for an even longer adventure. These routes are part of Wilkes County's extensive cycling network developed to promote healthy recreation and showcase some of the area's most beautiful roads and landscapes.
Whether you're a casual rider looking for a peaceful mountain cruise or an experienced cyclist seeking a challenging ride with incredible views, Leatherwood offers a unique way to experience the mountains.
