A couple of nearby islands that are easy to miss when visiting Amelia Island:

St. Simons Island has a lighthouse, the historic Christ Church, and a barbecue spot locals love — Southern Soul.

Jekyll Island feels completely different. Driftwood Beach looks almost surreal, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Center is worth a stop if you're curious about local wildlife.

Both are close enough for a simple day trip if you're exploring the area.
