Pumpkin painting is a big hit at our communities, and our residents are showing off their creative talents!

🎨 🎨 At Penelope 60 Apartments in Mishawaka, Indiana, residents got into the autumn spirit with some colorful pumpkin painting. Special thanks to our neighborhood farmer for donating them!

🍁 Meanwhile, residents at AHEPA 39 Apartments in Haverhill, Massachusetts, enjoyed pumpkin painting and an art class, putting their creativity on full display!

From festive pumpkins to artistic masterpieces, these activities are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, friendship and a little seasonal fun.

AMAZING! The final numbers are in for our Heart & Sole Walking Challenge, and our residents, team members and board members collectively walked an incredible 180,372 miles!

From May through October, our AHEPA Senior Living family stepped up for heart health, wellness and one another, all while honoring the legacy of our late President and CEO, Steve Beck.

Let's celebrate our top-performing communities! 🏆
🥇 AHEPA 127 Phase II, Cincinnati: 11,146 miles
🥈 AHEPA 192 Phase IV, Des Moines: 10,512 miles
🥉 Penelope 54 Phase I, Houston: 9,999 miles

Our Hellenic Senior Living communities also went the extra mile!
🥇 Hellenic Indianapolis: 2,093 miles
🥈 Hellenic New Albany: 1,971.77 miles

And a shoutout to our Property Managers who collectively took company-wide first place honors with 17,760 miles, securing bragging rights!

Huge kudos to our property managers, maintenance teams, service coordinators, home office staff and volunteer board members who joined residents in making this a truly organization-wide effort!

💙 Healthy Living Starts with Prevention in Mobile, Alabama!

From preventive vaccinations to personalized fall risk assessments, residents at AHEPA Senior Living communities in Mobile, Alabama, recently benefited from two wellness initiatives designed to support their health, safety and independence!

💉 Protecting Residents' Health: Walgreens Pharmacy administered flu, COVID-19, pneumonia and shingles vaccinations to 22 residents. Donated door prizes added a little fun to the occasion, while My Therapy at Home provided donuts for everyone to enjoy!

✓ Preventing Falls, Supporting Independence: Students from the University of South Alabama Department of Physical Therapy visited to conduct one-on-one fall risk assessments. Residents received individualized evaluations to help identify potential fall risks and enjoyed the personal attention and interaction with the students.

Prevention, education and community partnerships are important parts of helping older adults stay healthy and independent.

A big thank you to Walgreens Pharmacy, My Therapy at Home and the University of South Alabama physical therapy students for investing their time and expertise in our residents!

💙 Building Resilience, One Challenge at a Time!

Life comes with challenges, but having the right tools and mindset can help us navigate them with greater confidence.

Residents at AHEPA 501 Phases I & II Apartments in Albuquerque, New Mexico, recently welcomed Mikayla Martinez from Goodwill for an engaging workshop on resilience and how to face life's challenges.

Together, they explored the characteristics of resilient people, different types of resilience, practical strategies for building resilience and ways to recognize unhelpful thinking habits.

The best part? The conversation! Residents actively participated, shared their perspectives and engaged in meaningful dialogue throughout the session.

A special thank you to Mikayla and Goodwill for helping our residents strengthen the skills that support emotional well-being, confidence and healthy aging!
