The countdown to February 1st starts tonight!

Today, October 31st, marks the final day of public access to the waters immediately below Bull Shoals Dam before the annual seasonal closure begins.

*The rest of the river remains open for GREAT fishing!

The area will remain closed to fishing through November, December, and January, reopening February 1st at 12:00 AM.

That’s three months without fishing pressure in this stretch of the White River, giving anglers something to look forward to when access reopens.

Cooler weather, campfires, and plenty of rainbow trout

As we head into November and December, the White River offers some fantastic fishing, especially for beginners. With plenty of rainbows to keep the rods bent and the occasional brown trout in the mix, it’s a great time to introduce someone to trout fishing or simply enjoy a relaxing day on the water.

And when the fishing’s done, there’s nothing quite like a fire overlooking the river.

It may be fall, but Summer patterns are still in effect!

Fall brings cool (FINALLY) temps and typically low water. It’s a great time for anyone to get out and experience the White River.
