This quirky two-story Folly Beach cottage has plenty of room to settle in, with two queen bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and living space for up to four guests.
Upstairs, step right out onto the large shared deck overlooking the Folly River — a perfect spot to unwind, grill out and catch the sunset after a day at the beach. 🌅

Fall is one of our favorite times to hit the water on Folly 🌊🏄

Folly Beach is a great place to learn to surf, with plenty of beginner-friendly days throughout the year. And as we head into fall, the Atlantic tends to get a little more interesting—offshore storms and tropical systems can bring bigger swells and some of the best surf of the season.

Not surfing? Watching from the beach is pretty good too. ☀️

Come enjoy a different side of Folly this fall.

Have you seen Folly Cabin? 🌴

One of the fun things about Riverside Inn is that no two stays feel quite the same. Folly Cabin has its own cozy, tucked-away feel, with warm wood throughout, a sitting area, and everything you need to settle in for a few easy days on Folly.

It’s a great home base for beach days, wandering Center Street, or simply enjoying a slower morning by the river before heading out.

If you haven’t explored all of the rooms and cottages at Riverside yet, Folly Cabin is a good place to start.

September is one of our favorite times on Folly Beach. The water is still warm, beach days are still very much in season, and the island begins to settle into a quieter pace after the busy summer months.

Sea turtle nesting season is one of the most special times of year on our island. From May through October, loggerhead sea turtles return to Folly Beach to lay their eggs, and hatchlings will eventually make their incredible journey to the ocean.

If you spot a marked nesting area like this one during your stay, please help us protect these amazing creatures by following a few simple guidelines:

🌙 Lights Out at Night
Sea turtles and hatchlings use natural moonlight to find the ocean. Bright lights can disorient them.

• Turn off beachfront lights when possible.
• Close blinds and curtains after dark.
• Avoid using flashlights or phone lights on the beach at night.

🏖️ Give Nests Plenty of Space
Please do not set up chairs, umbrellas, tents, toys, or other beach equipment within 25 feet of a marked sea turtle nest.

🐢 Respect Marked Nesting Areas
Never touch, move, or disturb the stakes, tape, or protective coverings around a nest.

🚶 Leave No Trace
Before leaving the beach each evening, remove all personal belongings and fill in any large holes or sand structures.

Every nest matters, and these small efforts help protect one of Folly Beach's most treasured visitors.
