Deanna (Simon's physical therapist) visited yesterday for some hands on work with Simon. Simon was chirping at his Drs. this morning which means he's feeling somewhat better. Due to the holiday, his release date is pending until all of his Drs. can meet and determine best next steps for him. Keep the love coming 💛🤞

***Update*** Simon had a special visit from his rehabilitation vet in the hospital. Lucky for Simon, Dr.Benson has healing hands and she performed lymphatic massage on him. This seems to have remedied some of his fluid retention and his energy levels has improved. 🙌. We are holding off on transferring him to the hospital in Boulder now. So grateful to Dr. Benson and to all of you for sending so much love Simon’s way! Keep it coming 🤗👍💛

***Update Simon’s echocardiogram is normal and a feeding tube has been inserted. He will be transferred to a nephrology speciality hospital tomorrow in Boulder ***🤞💛

Simon has been hospitalized as he was experiencing lethargy and his appetite was poor. After much diagnostic work, including a CT scan, we see that there are abnormalities in his kidney levels. Although we don’t know the cause of those abnormalities. Simon will be getting an echocardiogram to check his heart function before being transferred to a hospital in Boulder that specializes in comprehensive nephrology services. Please send love Simon’s way and keep him in your thoughts. We will update you as we receive additional information. 🤞💛

What was I made for? 🐾 Just a little wobbly, but fully designed to melt your heart and make you smile.

Video description/background: Gonzo is a 10 year-old mixed breed dog that was born with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). Gonzo came to foster with us after he was dumped on the streets of Los Angeles. He was diagnosed with CH here which is a neurological condition that causes his wobbly gait and head tremors. The condition does not cause pain or affect lifespan. Lucky for all of us, Connie fell in love with this little cutie and this became him forever home 🏠 🩵
