tation led him to Connie Fredman’s Canine Health Resort in Colorado where he learned to walk again. Now his life is now filled with playful days, continued rehabilition and giving back to others as therapy dog.

For those of you with wheeling pups you know that they take a tumble quite often. Axel never made a peep though when she fell or got her wheel stuck on something, so Connie attached cowbells to her chair and if the jingles stopped she knew that Axel was in need of help. Axel taught Connie so many things... here the power of patience and how to dust yourself off and go right back at it undeterred! We miss watching Connie getting you of those jams, sweet girl! 🩷🫶😇🌈



Video description/background: We lost this sweet girl in October of 2025 at the age of 15. Axel was of our pack’s matriarch. She came to Connie’s after her owner could no longer care for her when she was hit by a car and her rear legs were paralyzed. She thrived for over nine years here despite her paralysis and she could be regularly seen on the farm running in and out of her pink wheelchair, herding the horses and even skiing. In the warmer months Axel spent a lot of time swimming in our pond which attributed to her incredible upper body strength and overall orthopedic health. She was a certified pet therapy dog through Pet Partners and spread her warmth through visits to students and disabled children.

Video description/background: Antoine is a 14-year-old Siberian husky that is in the back of the hatch of his car guarding his prized marrow bone. Antoine is a neospora and IVDD survivor. His story is told here and in a book Antoine’s Tale, the link is in our bio. All proceeds from the book benefit Antoines Fund. Antoine’s Fund is a nonprofit founded to help disabled dogs live better lives through support of much needed veterinary and rehabilitation care.

Video description/background: Roxy is a shepherd/husky mix in her yellow life vest recently had her front left leg amputated, but it doesn’t stop her from participating in a game of fetch with the pack. Deacon our resident chocolate Labrador, Max our yellow Labrador foster boy, Banks and Ash our resident Belgian Tervs, and Tango in his wheelchair are also spotted here.

Skya is not a swimmer, she is a wader! And she will be waiting on that ball to come to her.



Video description/background: Skya is a five-year-old Siberian husky that waded into the pond as an attempt to retrieve her tennis ball. She is wearing a blue Walkin' Pets wheelchair, a pink Walkin' Pets warrior harness and a bright orange Garmin Outdoor tracking collar. Skya is a spinal stroke survivor and she had lost a great amount of mobility in her back legs. Thanks to her intense determination she has gained much of that mobility back. Skya attends regular rehabilitation therapy which includes active exercises, e-stim, and acupuncture. Skya’s care is provided by Antoine’s Fund, a nonprofit created to help disabled dogs like Skya live their best lives.

Video description/background: Simon is a 10-year-old fawn colored Great Dane. He is practicing rehabilitation exercises to help strengthen his back legs and is aided in his rehab journey with the invaluable Help 'Em Up harness. Simon’s rehabilitation therapies are funded by Antoines’s Fund, a nonprofit created to help disabled dogs live fulfilling lives. In addition to the active exercises, Simon receives acupuncture, shockwave and also has a canine physical therapist that works with him at home.
