A HAIRSTYLIST’S EYE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As an OG hairstylist from the ’80s, I have always believed that caring for my clients goes far beyond styling their hair. Before I begin any service, I carefully examine the scalp. The health of the scalp is an important part of the overall hair-care process and should never be overlooked.
While examining my client’s scalp, I noticed a spot that concerned me. I immediately brought it to her attention and encouraged her to have it evaluated by a medical professional. I am not a doctor, and I cannot diagnose medical conditions, but I do believe that noticing changes and encouraging clients to seek professional advice can be extremely important.
This is why trust matters. My clients trust me with their hair, and I take that responsibility seriously. I am grateful that I was able to notice something that may need attention and encourage her to have it checked early.
Your hairstylist may be one of the first people to notice changes on your scalp. Please remember to schedule regular medical checkups and have any unusual spot, sore, irritation, or change examined by a qualified healthcare professional.
At Tonya’s Hair Etc., your hair is in good hands and your well- # #
being matters, too. .
