MnRVS, "The Sanctuary" coexists with a Hobby Farm that uses permaculture principles, sustainable and organic gardening techniques, is a micro-enterprise incubator including the campground and event venue. The Sanctuary also is home to a small flock of free range chickens and assorted waterfowl, a growing herd of pygmy goats, and an organic garden. There are spaces for meetings and gatherings utili
zed by several organizations, and groups of various sizes and interests. Please have Respect, be Kind, and Forgive. We are a diverse community. Located in SW Minnesota, 20 miles from New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, and Redwood Falls. Less than ten minutes to several smaller surrounding towns including Morton, Fairfax, Franklin and The Lower Sioux Indian Community home of Jaclpot Junction Casino. The local communities have attractions and learning opportunities like; chatterbox cafes, antique stores, pioneer museums, agriculture old and new, annual festivals including street dances, County Fairs, dirt track races and also you can find solitude. There are historic sites, trails and natural places to hike in Fort Ridgely State Park, two Renville County Parks and several other nearby locations along the Historic Minnesota River Valley. If you bring pets they must be able to coexist with the resident critters.
