The Witherup House A green B&B catering to all who want to enjoy the slower pace of life in a small town surrounded by natural beauty, historic architecture & great food.

The Witherup House offers 3 second-floor guest rooms ( a 4th room can be made available for group/family gatherings) all with queen beds, ceiling fans and robes. All 3 guest rooms have private, en-suite bathrooms: 1 with a spa tub & walk-in full body shower; 1 with a European shower; and one with a powder room ( with a shower on the first floor). Gatherings can take place on the front porch, back

deck and the upper balcony. Breakfasts are designed for healthy living and include seasonal fruits and berries, home-made fruit breads, dried fruits, nuts, granola, greek yogurt, eggs (from local grass-fed chickens), and assorted local cheeses, veggies and meats. A variety of teas are available along with our signature 'Cafe au Lait - New Orleans coffee with chicory, brewed expresso-style and poured half & half with warmed milk.

Another win for The Witherup House, two wonderful guests who we find out are related. Marty was able to use cousin Ding’s ancestry research. Tracing our common ancestor to Abraham Witherup (born 1787). Lisa is Ann’s 3rd cousin once removed!!! Lovely Guests!

This past week at THE WITHERUP HOUSE was one for the memory books!

1st we hosted a woman, who’s daughter surprised her for her 90th birthday with a night’s stay. This beautiful soul stayed in the room she slept in as an adolescent in the 40’s & 50’s! The conversations about the house then & now were revealing & exciting.

Then, guests were in town visiting dear old friends. Our guests brought their friends to visit, specifically so that the woman friend could talk with Ann about her 1st grade teacher. Miss Borland, an 18 year old fresh out of state teacher’s college, happens to be Ann’s mother!

Talk about Old Home Week!
