Hello Frederick! 👋
My name is Denis Cerritos, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the proud owner of Camp Osprey, a brand-new summer camp experience opening right here in beautiful Frederick, Maryland!
Working with children has been a lifelong passion for me. For the past 25 years, I’ve had the immense privilege of volunteering as a camp counselor with Special Love, an incredible organization that serves children with cancer and their families. Those summers spent bringing joy, comfort, and laughter to kids in need have shaped who I am today.
In my professional life, I’ve dedicated 28 years as a Montessori teacher, nurturing young minds and guiding children through hands-on, child-centered learning. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with Montgomery College’s Workforce Development Program, where I taught workshops in Child Development with a focus on Math and Science—equipping educators and caregivers with tools to inspire curiosity and growth in young learners.
Now, I’m bringing all that experience, heart, and energy to a dream I’ve long held: Camp Osprey — a fun-filled, nature-loving, creativity-sparking summer camp for kids ages 6 to 12! Whether it’s building friendships, exploring the outdoors, or learning through play, Camp Osprey is all about giving children the kind of summer memories that last a lifetime.
I can’t wait to meet all the amazing families in Frederick and welcome your children to this exciting new adventure. Thank you for letting me be part of your community—I’m beyond excited for what’s to come!
