After nearly a decade, it’s time for us to turn the page and begin our next chapter. ❤️
In 2017, we purchased Ava Haus Bed & Breakfast, never knowing just how deeply this little place would become woven into our lives. Along the way, we have been blessed in more ways than we could have imagined. We met so many wonderful guests who, over the years, became dear friends and, in many ways, family.
During the years we owned Ava Haus, we were fortunate enough to add two additional B&Bs to the property. Both became very popular and successful, and watching them grow was incredibly rewarding.
But without a doubt, one of the greatest blessings of owning Ava Haus was being able to give back to our community. Supporting our local agencies, volunteer fire departments, crisis centers, and other organizations that make a difference in the lives of others has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. Being able to help our neighbors and give back to the community we love is something we will always carry with us.
❤️
This has truly been one of the greatest adventures of my crazy life — second only to my marriage and my daughter, who I couldn’t be prouder of. 😊
And now, it brings us to our next chapter.
We have officially sold Ava Haus Bed & Breakfast.
The new owners recently wrote us the most beautiful letter, and after reading it, I cried. And, of course, I’m crying again as I write this. Their words reassured us that Ava Haus is being passed into very caring hands — to people who are eager and ready to fall in love with this special place and its guests just as much as we did.
I have probably told the story of how Ava Haus got its name more than 1,000 times over the years.
We purchased the property from a wonderful woman named Patricia. Her granddaughter’s name was Ava, and she named the property Ava Haus after her. When we found this place completely by chance, Patricia shared that story with us.
My wife’s name is Patricia.
My mother’s name is Ava.
From the very beginning, we knew it was meant to be. ❤️
And perhaps that’s what makes saying goodbye so bittersweet. We aren’t really saying goodbye to Ava Haus — we are simply handing over the baton.
We know the new owners will take great care of this beautiful property, and more importantly, of the guests and friends who have made Ava Haus what it is.
To every person who stayed with us, returned year after year, recommended us to friends and family, celebrated a special occasion with us, shared a story around the table, or simply walked through our doors — THANK YOU.
Thank you for trusting us with your getaways, your celebrations, your memories, and a little piece of your lives.
Thank you for following our journey.
And most of all, thank you for continuing to be our guests and our friends throughout the years.
Ava Haus will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Here’s to new beginnings, cherished memories, and the next chapter. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Tava Hamilton
