Update

N.C. Highway 12 remains closed between the Marc Basnight Bridge and Rodanthe.

Emergency ferry service between Stumpy Point and Rodanthe continues. Travelers should expect limited capacity and extended wait times and are asked to delay nonessential travel.

Entry to Hatteras Island remains limited to individuals who qualify under Dare County’s Priority One, Priority Two and Priority Three reentry categories. Travelers must present the required documentation.

Due to the storm,road conditions, and mandatory visitors evacuation, we have decided to postpone our Halloween bash originally scheduled for this weekend to next weekend. More details will follow.!

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU — AND ONE SMALL FAVOR! ❤️
Well, Mother Nature certainly didn't do us any favors this weekend! Between the nor'easter, the weather, and the mandatory evacuation of visitors, our biggest fundraiser of the year didn't quite turn out the way we had planned.
We prepared for a much bigger crowd, but you know what? The people who could make it SHOWED UP! ❤️
To everyone who came out, bought a meal, made a donation, volunteered their time, or helped make today possible, THANK YOU! You reminded us once again what makes this little community so special.
Unfortunately, the storm kept a lot of folks away who otherwise would have joined us, and that means we fell short of what we had hoped to raise for Frisco-Buxton Pathways.
For anyone who couldn't make it, or anyone who simply believes in what we're trying to accomplish, we'd love to invite you to make a donation through the Pathways donation portal.
Every dollar helps us work toward a safer place for our families, neighbors, and visitors to walk, ride bicycles, and enjoy this beautiful island without having to share the shoulder of Highway 12 with traffic.
Nobody can control the weather, but we can certainly control how we come together afterward. ❤️
