Rt 12 is open and passable at Pea Island. You might have a 11 minute delay during the day as they alternate traffic while doing work but it’s not bad at all.

NC12 is NOW OPEN to northbound traffic on Pea Island! Please be patient and drive with extreme caution, as there is sand and water on the roadway, as well as a high volume of traffic waiting to exit Hatteras Island.

Made it through the storm with no issues.

Well we are awaiting the arrival of Erin. Our renters have evacuated and we will see what the storm brings.
As of this post Rt 12 is now closed at Buxton

New appliances!
We upgraded the appliances to stainless and the new stove has a grill top and air fry in the oven. The self cleaning oven now has steam so it might even impress Rhonda your cleaner…( we will see!)
