North Fork Resort, a privately owned campground, is located 69 miles west of Washington, D.C., on a mile-long shoreline of the beautiful Shenandoah River near the northern end of Skyline Drive. North Fork Resort is now open to the public for nightly camping. Office Hours:
Mon: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thu: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Fri - Sat: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sun: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

North Fork Resort is open year-round with 24 hour security. At North Fork Resort, you are just minutes away from Skyline Caverns and the famed Drive. Favorite activities are fishing the Shenandoah and hunting in George Washington National Forest (Massanutten Mountain). Favorite tours are the Confederate Museum, Civil War Battlefields, the National Park, and the monuments in Washington, D.C..

Fall Crafts kick off the day, Ice Cream Social sweetens things up, and Bingo closes the night with big smiles.

🌶️ Saturday, October 10
The Chili Cook‑Off heats things up with friendly competition, and the evening glows with LED Mini Golf and s’mores.

🐾 Saturday, October 17
The Board of Directors meets in the morning, a Scavenger Hunt sends everyone exploring, the Mini Menagerie Petting Zoo brings adorable fun, and the night lights up with Glow‑in‑the‑Dark Flag Football, LED games, s’mores, and live music from Eclectic Company.

👻 Friday, October 23
Glow Monster Bash takes over with face painting, music, dancing, games, and cotton candy.

Pumpkin carving and judging, a Costume Party & Contest, Trick‑or‑Treating, site decoration contest, and a Haunted Hayride make it the ultimate Halloween celebration.

🟢 Good news for the Main Stem, South Fork, and North Fork of the Shenandoah River: E. coli levels at all sites tested yesterday were below the recommended maximum threshold of 235 CFU/100mL for primary water recreation.

🔴 Not so good news for Hawksbill Creek: E. coli levels at the site tested in Hawksbill Creek exceeded recommended limits for the 15th week out of 16 weeks tested

📝These results provide a snapshot of the E. coli bacteria concentrations at the designated sites on the date, time, and under the conditions that the water samples were collected.
