We thought this was interesting enough to share for our country music fans.

We love stopping along the shore line when out on the lake with friends to point out Johnny & June Cash’s homesite. We never realized that Roy Orbison’s home site was right next door, or about The Orchard. We did know about both fires though.

One of our guests captured this sweet little surprise during their stay this week. 🦨❤️

One of the things we love most about life at The Cozy Cottage is that you never know what wildlife might stop by. Deer, turtles, geese, foxes, and this adorable little family enjoying the shoreline.

We may have been a little quiet lately...

Between the ice storm cleanup, tree removal, endless rain delays, and guests coming and going, this backyard project has taken much longer than planned.

But the tree mess is finally gone 🙌 and something new is taking shape at The Cozy Cottage.

We're not quite ready for the full reveal yet, but let's just say evenings by the lake are about to get even better. 🔥

Fire pit? Patio? Outdoor kitchen? Secret underground bunker? 😆

Behind the scenes at the Cozy Cottage today: mountains of fresh new towels and wash clothes and FINALLY some sunshine coming through the windows.☀️

Not exactly exciting content… unless you’re the kind of person who loves crisp white towels and a clean cozy house as much as I do. 😂

We’ve been busy getting everything freshened up inside for guests, while the backyard tree cleanup and a few other surprises are happening outside.

Mother’s Day is almost over and honestly almost forgot to post a greeting.

Sometimes the best gift is slowing down for a minute, sitting by the water, and letting the world get quiet for a while.

Some guests just get it… ❤️

Barry and his wife came for a quiet getaway—slow mornings, coffee on the porch, s’mores by the fire, and time on the water.

He called it:
“Our best experience at an Airbnb home.”

…and then did the thing that says everything 👇

They loved it so much, they’ve already booked the entire home this summer to bring their whole grown family back, including grandkids.

Funny behind-the-scenes moment at Cozy Cottage:

We discovered some storm damage yesterday when our guest checked out. I texted a photo to one of our handymen.

No response.

Came out today to get things ready for our birthday weekend guests, including a little cake 🎂, and the repair was already done.

I was so confused 😂

Checked the cameras when I got home, and there he was… in and out with no contact. Handled.

That’s the kind of care that goes into this place, even when you don’t see it.

Sadly one rocker didn’t survive the storm, but everything else is back in place and ready to go.

Somehow, we just hit Superhost again (yep... 𝟮𝟳 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝘄) 𝘢𝘯𝘥 earned Guest Favorite ❤️

Our full Cozy Cottage is sitting in the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀..... and Cottage 310 is over here like, "Excuse me??" 😂

But then I read reviews like this and remember why we do what we do:
