The Hancock House Bed & Breakfast

The Hancock House Bed & Breakfast The Hancock House is a spacious fifteen room colonial revival log inn located in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee.

Beautiful farm land lies in full view across the road and a horse farm adjoins our property. Even though we are "out in the country" we are only a few minutes outside of Gallatin and Hendersonville and just 25 miles northeast of Nashville. Prior to our purchase of the inn, Felice Ferrell was the owner and proprietor of a nationally known antique establishment for over 60 years in the main part of

the inn. Historically, the inn is a pre-1851 stage coach stop and toll gate house known as Avondale Station on the famous Avery Trace. Over the years, two small cabins have been attached to the rear of the original structure. A quaint courtyard, just off the dining room, is nestled between the three structures. A two-story cabin has been added across the lawn from the main house creating a private retreat. Wide hardwood floors, exposed beams, numerous "nooks and crannies", fireplaces, interior log walls, area rugs, period furniture and antiques abound throughout creating a warm, cozy atmosphere that rekindles memories of a bygone era. Five bedrooms, each with private bath and fireplace, are available for our overnight guests. Four of the guest rooms are in the main house and the fifth is housed in the separate two-story cabin. Guests choose when and where (bedroom, dining room, or outdoor courtyard) to receive breakfast. In addition to your overnight stay and breakfast the next morning we offer many optional offerings. Over the years, our inn has become a favorite for hosting large gatherings including weddings.. With advance notice, we can accommodate parties from 2 to 200 for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We are approximately twenty minutes northeast of downtown Nashville. Directions to Hancock House are easy to follow. Nashville International Airport is twenty-five minutes away as are other attractions such as: Opryland Hotel; Grand Ole Opry; The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson; Music Row; The Parthenon; The Upper Room; The General Jackson Showboat; Hard Rock Cafe; Wild Horse Saloon; the restored Ryman Auditorium to name a few. "It will be a pleasure to serve you!" -Carl & Roberta.

Good Morning. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Hancock House experienced a fire last week. As a family we are going through a very difficult time right now. We greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We are unsure if we will be able to reopen the business, and family home that we love and cherish so much.

With that being said if you had an event scheduled with us please reach out to Carl & Roberta to provide your event details. Our planning book for all yearly events burned in the fire, and we don't have any information regarding our upcoming scheduled events. Please text to provide all event details and contact information. We apologize for these inconveniences and appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

Please text: 615-430-6814

Once again we appreciate your support, thoughts and prayers. Thank you and God bless each and every one of you.
