Gallitzin PA - The Summit of the Allegheny Mountains. At 2,000 feet above sea level, the sights and sounds of trains battling the Allegany mountain grades are easily enjoyed from our back porch. Our chiminea takes the chill out of the cold mountain air, and our floodlights provide great night time viewing of all the rail action.

Gallitzin gathered for our Halloween parade today. There is always a good show here at the Tunnel Inn.

Amtrak #43 under the lights. the Pennsylvanian passing by milepost 248 with a friendly horn salute and the 1949 Pullman coach ( Colonial Crafts ). Elvis Presley chartered this car when he toured the country in 1960. You can't beat the view from the Tunnel Inn. 😎🚂
