🎨 HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW MURAL GOING UP AT McGUIRE DENT REC CENTER?

I stopped by this weekend to take a look, and what an amazing sight to see! I would estimate that it’s approximately 20 feet tall and 50 feet long—the scale and detail are truly impressive.

I absolutely love seeing all the beautiful murals appearing throughout Galveston. They add so much color, character and creativity to the island. 🌴

And we’re especially excited because White Magnolia Galveston will soon be getting a mural of its own! 🤍 We can’t wait to share more as the project comes together.

🍂🌅 FALL INTO FALL AT WHITE MAGNOLIA GALVESTON!

That first photo? I took it at East Beach right around this time last year. 😍 There is just something about Galveston as we move into fall—the sunsets, the cooler evenings and that feeling that maybe it’s time for a little island getaway.

And we’ve been getting White Magnolia ready for it! 🤍

One of our bedrooms just got a BIG upgrade—from a QUEEN to a KING—and I didn’t stop with the bed. 😂

If you bake sourdough, don't throw away your discard! 🥖🍫

For anyone new to sourdough, discard is simply the portion of your sourdough starter that you remove before feeding it. While some people toss it, I love finding ways to turn it into something delicious.

These Double Chocolate Chip Sourdough Discard Muffins are one of my favorite ways to use it (my sourdough discard crackers are a close second!). Sometimes I even make them for guests at White Magnolia Galveston!

They're rich, chocolatey, incredibly moist, and a great reminder that leftovers can become something amazing.

I hope this inspires you to give sourdough discard baking a try!
