🕰️ Throwback Thursday in Gatlinburg!

Take a step back in time with us! This painting hangs right here in our office and gives us a glimpse of Gatlinburg as it looked in 1913—long before the traffic lights, busy streets, and attractions we know today.

This scene is believed to show the area where Highway 441 and Highway 321 meet at Traffic Light #3 today. Hard to imagine this peaceful little mountain town turning into the Gatlinburg we know and love! 🏔️❤️

We love having pieces of Gatlinburg’s history right here at The Gillette. After all, our motel has been part of this community since 1957, so we’ve got a pretty special appreciation for how much this town has changed over the years.
