This beautifully-designed 2 bedroom log cabin is perfect for small families or friends visiting each other while in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. This cabin is a favorite among our guests and only a few years old. The diamond shaped windows with vaulted ceilings in the living room draw in the light and are one of the most favorite features among our guests. The open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen are perfect for spending time with the family and cuddling up by the fireplace. Walk directly onto the back deck from the living room to enjoy a beautiful view of our wonderful wilderness and enjoy all the amenities that Cubs in the Treetops has to offer. From flat screen tvs in every room, Super comfortable King sized beds, a large hot tub, gas fireplace, gas grill, and gas stovetop…. Cubs in the Treetops is rarely vacant. This place is special to us and we proudly rent the cabin in memory of Mrs. Ruth Hall and her late husband… who built this cabin and called it their second home. Mrs. Ruth carefully planned out the details and decorations and you can see the careful thought into every detail.

Featuring 2 King Master Suites on the main floor and 2 downstairs bedrooms featuring 1 queen bed and bunk bed in each room. Each bedroom has private accesses from the bedrooms onto the very large back balconies that give a beautiful peak of Mt. Leconte. Plenty of room and activities to do for everyone in your party. This is a PERFECT location that feels far away but is super close to Downtown Gatlinburg. Within minutes, you will be at the top attractions that our great city has to offer.

If you are here for a Sports tournament at Rocky Top Sports World, you are literally a 2 minute drive to the sports complex. If you come in winter, don’t worry.

Mountain Shadows is dedicated to salting the roads and keeping your drive safe. In the summer months, enjoy the cabin that is within the closest proximity to the resort pool, playground, and basketball court. Black Bear Retreat is a luxurious 3 bedroom log cabin in Phase 2 of Mountain Shadows Resort. There is a spacious parking area fronting a 36′ x 8′ porch with outdoor ceiling fans and lighting with rocking chair seating and a porch swing to relax in and enjoy the view. Step inside to a large great room with a gas log fireplace and large flat screen Smart TV with cable service (Login capable to your personal NetFlix, Vudu, Prime, and other Web TV accounts). There is a cushy soft love seat and sofa to relax in while watching your favorite movie, show, or sporting event. The kitchen offers ample cabinet space, granite counter tops, smooth-top range, dishwasher and side-by-side refrigerator. The dining table and seating is part of an Amish furniture set that also includes the master bedroom king size bed and the 2 queen size beds in the upstairs bedrooms. Rounding out the sleeping accommodations is a sleeper sofa in the larger upstairs bedroom. Each bedroom has its own flat screen Smart TV. On the rear deck is a large, 3-burner natural gas grill and a hot tub nestled amongst Smoky Mountain Rhododendron. The owner has designed the interior with families in mind as she spends a lot of time with her families and friends there.

The great room features a large sectional sofa with cozy blankets and pillows, a large flat screen television and beautiful indoor fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances to help create your own meals to serve at the dining nook table. There is plenty of kitchenware and utensils for the table, food prep, and cooking in this fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom features a king size bed and large flat screen tv.
