We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, military personnel, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage in one of our nation's darkest hours.

September 11 reminds us not only of what we lost, but of the strength, compassion, courage, and unity that brought Americans together in the days that followed.

💔 The Smoky Mountains Have Lost a Legend

Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Dolly Parton, a true Smoky Mountain legend and one of Tennessee’s greatest treasures.

Dolly was so much more than an incredible singer, songwriter, and entertainer. She was a daughter of the Smoky Mountains who never forgot where she came from. Through her music, her kindness, her generosity, Dollywood, and the Imagination Library, she touched millions of lives around the world.

Here in the Smokies, Dolly wasn't simply a celebrity — she was part of our home, our history, and our hearts.

Her beautiful spirit, unmistakable voice, wonderful sense of humor, and love for East Tennessee will never be forgotten.

From all of us at 365 Getaways, our deepest condolences and prayers go out to Dolly's family, friends, loved ones, and the countless people around the world whose lives she touched.

The Smoky Mountains will feel a little different without you, Dolly. 🕊️

Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the memories, the laughter, and for always making the Smokies proud. Your legacy will live on forever. ❤️
