The Otsego Lake County Park will officially open on Thursday, April 29th, 2027, for the season. We will kick off the season with our annual Clean-Up Weekend event. To participate, book your site at the regular rate for Thursday night (April 29th) and in exchange for raking/leafing blowing the leaves, pine needles, acorns, etc. into a pile at the front of your campsite, you will receive Friday night (April 30th) and Saturday night (May 1st) for free. Check-in time for Thursday, April 29th will be at the normal 2:00 pm check-in time. Your confirmation email you will receive when you make your reservation will show your check-out time as 1:00 pm on Friday (May 1st) but your actual check-out time will be 1:00 pm on Sunday (May 2nd). You must pay for Thursday night to lock in your site, even if you do not plan on arriving until Friday or Saturday. Again, for the annual Clean-Up Weekend event, you will have your site that you reserve beginning at check-in time, which is 2:00 pm, on Thursday, April 29th and then must depart the site by check-out time at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 2nd. Reservations for the 2027 season can officially be made! The Otsego Lake County Park and Irontone Springs Roadside Park will open for the 2027 season on April 29th, 2027. Reservations for both the Otsego Lake County Park and Irontone Springs Roadside Park can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date, or the date of the daily rental for the pavilions, and will now be made through our new reservation website, which is called CampLife. The website can be found at: www.camplife.com ,and it is very important that you create an account with CampLife. You can also get to the reservation site by clicking on the “Otsego Lake County Park” link, under quick links, on the home page of the Otsego County website, or by clicking on “Click here for Reservations” on the Otsego Lake County Park page, listed under Popular Links, also found on the Otsego County website. The Otsego County Website is www.otsegocountymi.gov. Once you create your account and are on the home page of CampLife, to make a reservation, you will type in the Otsego Lake County Park in the search bar. You will then put in your desired arrival date, departure date and click the yellow “Go” button. This will then bring you to a new page with the campground map. You then can add various filters to your search to help with the particular site you may want, but it is not required to add any filters. Any campsites and/or cabins that are available will be shown in green based on your arrival date, departure date and that fall within the filters you have set. You then will select the site you would like to reserve and press continue. Next, you will review the reservation summary and press continue. At this page, you will enter/review your billing information, check the box if you agree to the SMS messaging (which we encourage to have marked yes, as we may contact you by text with updates regarding your reservation, the events that may be taking place at the time of your reservation, emergency warnings or other general updates), fill in your credit/debit card information, check the “Verify you are human” box and click the yellow button with the arrow that says “Agree & Make Reservation”. This will complete your reservation. There will be a $3.00 booking fee for all reservations, per site, even if it there are multiple sites on one reservation. There is not a booking fee charged for the purchase of firewood, ice, vehicle season passes, vehicle day passes, candy, ice cream, etc.). All credit/debit card transactions are subject to the 3% card fee. We are looking forward to the 2027 season and for the new CampLife reservation system! We wanted to share a brief and exciting update with everyone! Beginning tomorrow, October 29th, we will begin using our new reservation system called CampLife! CampLife will be used for all camping, cabin, and pavilion reservations at the Otsego Lake County Park and Irontone Springs Roadside Park. We will be sharing another post, likely sometime tomorrow afternoon, to let everyone know when reservations officially begin and when we are officially live with the new system! So, keep an eye out for that post tomorrow to find out when reservations officially can begin to be made for the 2027 season and how to do so!

We have made a few adjustments to the schedule. Here is an updated October schedule for the Otsego County Community Center.

The After-School Program will begin next Monday, October 19th, 2026, and runs Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Otsego County Community Center. This program is open to all students that attend a school and/or that are homeschooled in Otsego County. Each student will be given a packet of information that will need initials, signatures and parent/guardian information. These packets will be given to the student the first day they attend the After-School Program. The student will be permitted to stay for the first day when they pick up their packet. Before they will be permitted to return for another day, they must have the packet filled out and turned in to a staff member. The rules that are set for the After-School Program will be strictly enforced. If there are any questions or concerns, please call us at (989) 732-6521.

There will be open-volleyball at the Otsego County Community Center this Monday, October 12th from 6:30-8:30 pm.

We wanted to share a few updates with you all. As of today, camping at the Otsego Lake County Park has concluded for the 2026 season. The boat launch at the campground will remain open for use until further notice and we will be sure to update everyone when it closes for the season. The Community Dog Park will remain open until further notice as well and we will be sure to also update everyone on the closing date for here as well. Irontone Springs Roadside Park will be closing for the season tomorrow but the artesian well will continue running until further notice. Again, we will notify everyone when the artesian well will be shut off for the winter. Libke Fields will remain open through the end of October (the water will be turned off next week so please plan accordingly as there will be no option to fill water bottles at the facility). Wah Wah Soo Beach will be closed for the season beginning tomorrow. The Iron Belle Trail Trailhead remain opens year around. The outdoor water fountain will be winterized within the next few days. The Otsego County Community Center will slowly begin to start hosting more activities over the next week and be fully back open for the winter beginning Monday, October 12th. Thank you all for another great season for our parks throughout Otsego County and we cannot wait to get them back open and see them being used again next Spring!
