🎣✨ These guys had such a great time cast-netting Monday night that they had their friends come back Tuesday and limited out both nights! 🎣✨

🌙 They coordinated with us both nights and were lucky enough to be the only group out on the docks. They made the most of it, not only catching buckets of shrimp, but also bringing in a few giant invasive tilapia and a nice catfish! 🦐🐟

📞 We can’t guarantee you’ll be the only group on the docks, but if you call ahead, there are some nights when we can let you know it’s looking slower.

🚨 To help keep things under control and provide the best experience for our paying guests, use of our docks and property is strictly reserved for registered guests.

🏨 Rooms start at $105 per night (two-night minimum), and 🚐 RV sites start at $50 per night.

🦐 MONDAY NIGHT SHRIMP REPORT — KEEPING IT HONEST! 🦐

Well, the shrimp are still running, but tonight wasn’t quite as productive as some of the incredible nights we’ve been having lately!

I spoke with the gentlemen sh*****ng from our docks tonight and they reported that quite a few of their casts were only bringing in a handful of shrimp (though they admitted that some of the casts may have not opened the net all the way). That’s not unusual! Even during a fantastic shrimp run, we’re bound to have an off night here and there.

Tide shifts can also make a big difference in where the shrimp are holding.

While I was out there, I did personally witness two casts with a 10-foot net that brought in approximately 25–50 shrimp each!! I believe the one cast I filmed brought in a little over 2 dozen.

These six gentlemen were the only ones throwing nets from our docks this Monday evening and despite the slower action, they were having an absolutely GREAT time! Between the six of them, they had already caught at least 15 GALLONS OF SHRIMP WITHIN the first hour of their arrival! 🦐🪣

That’s what it’s all about!

To the guys sh*****ng from our docks tonight: If you happen to see this post, we’d love for you to comment with an update on how the rest of your night went!

I try not to be too invasive when our guests are out there enjoying themselves. I don’t want to interrupt their fun or make anyone feel like I'm entitled to a fishing report. But I genuinely love seeing people having a great time here and I love being able to share their experiences with everyone following the shrimp run!

We’ve had an incredible stretch of sh*****ng, and I want to keep these reports as honest and accurate as possible. Not every night is going to be a 100–300 shrimp-per-cast kind of night and I’d rather tell everyone exactly what we’re seeing than make every night sound like the best night ever.

The shrimp are still here, the buckets are still filling and the memories are still being made! ❤️

🦐🔥 THE SHRIMP JUST KEEP COMING AT GEORGETOWN MARINA!! 🔥🦐

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE shrimp season we’re having on the St. Johns River!

For a solid 3–4 WEEKS STRAIGHT, we’ve had shrimp coming through EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! We’re talking anywhere from 50 to 300 shrimp PER CAST! And these have all been 24/28 per lb shrimp (extra large if you're buying them at the store or seafood market)🤯🦐

🌧️ Rain or shine, it hasn’t made a difference so far. The shrimp just keep running!

📍 LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

There’s a reason Georgetown Marina is such a fantastic place to catch shrimp!

As the shrimp make their way south down the St. Johns River, Lake George is their final destination. We’re positioned right at the mouth of Lake George, where the river creates a natural bottleneck that funnels the shrimp right past us, whether they’re coming or going!!

And here’s the best part…

Our docks extend approximately 185 FEET out into the river, putting you right in the action! 🎣

⏳ BUT HOW MUCH LONGER WILL THEY LAST?

That’s the million-dollar question!

The run could end TOMORROW or we could have another couple of weeks of phenomenal sh*****ng. Every year is different, and there’s no way to predict when they’ll stop!

✅ WEEKDAYS: Cabins still available!

✅ NEXT WEEKEND: A few openings remaining. We've been filling up last minute every weekend for the past few weeks!

🚨 IMPORTANT: Our docks are PRIVATE and sh*****ng is reserved EXCLUSIVELY for registered guests ONLY. We check EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, so please don’t drive all the way out here expecting to slip past us—you won’t. Our PAYING GUESTS take this very seriously, so we have to as well. Guilt trips don’t work either, so please don’t try.

The only “loophole” is to pay $53 for an RV site. Then it’s your choice whether to bring an RV or not. That way, you’re officially a registered guest. We’ll have your name and contact information, and you’ll have full access to our docks for your stay!!

If you’ve been thinking about making a sh*****ng trip, DON’T WAIT! The shrimp aren’t going to stick around forever, and neither will our available cabins!

🦐🔥 THE SHRIMP ARE STILL RUNNING THICK TONIGHT!! 🔥🦐

Just when you think the sh*****ng can’t get any better, the St John's delivers another incredible night!

Last night was actually our first somewhat slow night in about a month. The shrimp were still there, but they didn’t really start picking up until later in the evening when the current started moving.

TONIGHT WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY!! 💥

We hosted 2 different groups that came here only to catch shrimp. As soon as the sun went down, it was GAME ON! Shrimp on EVERY cast, and LOTS of them! They limited out by 9pm🦐🪣

We’re well into October, and this shrimp run just keeps on giving! We’ve had an absolutely phenomenal season here at Georgetown Marina, Lodge & RV Park, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down so far!!

How much longer will they keep running? Your guess is as good as mine! They could be gone tomorrow or keep going for weeks.

🦐 NO LIGHTS, NO BAIT, ONE CAST! A LITTLE SH*****NG EXPERIMENT! 🦐

Normally, our docks have at least one group out sh*****ng every single night. But last night, nobody was out there, and tonight was the same deal!

For the past several weeks, our docks have been lit up with artificial lights and the water has been baited extensively. On some of the better nights, guests have been catching anywhere from 50 to 300 shrimp per cast!

So tonight, with nobody around, I got curious and decided to try a little experiment. 🤔

What would happen if I went out there with absolutely NO lights and NO bait?

I grabbed my 7-foot cast net, walked out onto the dark, empty dock, and threw ONE CAST.

🦐🐟 This is everything that came up!

There’s definitely a higher number of pogies mixed in than what we’ve typically been seeing. I’m not sure if that’s because there were no lights or bait in the water, or if the pogies are simply starting to increase as we get later into the season.

Either way, I thought it was pretty interesting to see what was out there without doing anything to attract the shrimp!

One thing is for sure: The sh*****ng has been INCREDIBLE this year! 🦐🔥

They could keep running for another couple of weeks, or the whole thing could be over tomorrow. That’s just the unpredictable nature of the shrimp run!

Better come get ‘em while they’re still here!!
