The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is working a two vehicle collision on I-64 East near the 70 mile marker.

We are in the process of opening up a lane of traffic for travel, minor injuries reported.

We are actively investigating the collision and will update once we have concluded.

We have decided to reopen registration for next weeks camp for a very limited number of applicants. Camp is for children...

Camp is for children ages 11-14 on June 15th-18th (closed Friday for Juneteenth)

On May 29, 2026 at approximately 5:40 pm, deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Ironworks Road and Midway Road in reference to a motor vehicle collision involving a passenger van and motorcycle.

Deputies arrived on scene and determined that the Georgetown/Scott County Collision Investigation Unit needed to respond due to the severity of the collision.

At this time, one operator has been transported to UK Hospital due to suffering serious physical injury. This collision is still under investigation.

Thank you to Georgetown/Scott County Fire, EMS/ EMA and all others for their assistance controlling the scene.
