As your property tax bills begin to be mailed out this week please keep in mind the Scott County Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for charging taxes, we are simply tasked with assisting in their collection.
2026 Scott County Property Tax Bills will be mailed out and available online at www.scottsheriffky.com.
Payment Dates:
Nov 1st-November 30th = 2% discount
December 1st-December 31st = face value
January 1st-January 31st = 5% penalty
February 1st-April 15th = 21% penalty
**WE WILL ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS… HOWEVER, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS AFTER APRIL 1ST**
(Guaranteed payment only - credit card, money order, cashier's check or cash after April 1st)
After April 15th all unpaid bills will be sent to the Scott County Clerks office as delinquent bills.
Where and How to Pay:
-ONLINE- at www.scottsheriffky.gov
-By credit card or online banking (bank routing and account numbers)
(There will be a 2.5% fee tacked on to any credit or debit card payments. If paying with online banking, there is $1.50 charge)
-AT STOCK YARDS BANK- (Georgetown locations only)

Check or money order only. Please include your bill and phone number.
You will receive a receipt from the Clerk's office stating that they received the check. Payments will be processed 24-48 hours by the sheriff's office.
There is also a box in the second drive thru that you can drop check payments off after hours. Payments will be processed the following business day. We suggest you put payment and bill in a sealed envelope.
