Juneteenth commemorates Black freedom, and here in Gettysburg, that meaning feels especially close. 🇺🇸

So much of the Civil War story includes the fight over freedom, including the Black soldiers who volunteered and laid down their lives for it. The 54th Massachusetts at Fort Wagner is one powerful reminder of that courage.

Today, we pause with gratitude, remembrance, and respect for the fuller American story.
