🐦 Wildlife Wednesday: Meet Wyoming's State Bird – The Western Meadowlark! 🐦

If you've ever enjoyed a peaceful Wyoming morning at High Plains RV Resort & Campground, chances are you've heard the beautiful, flute-like song of the Western Meadowlark before you've spotted it. 🎶

Known for its bright yellow chest and distinctive black "V," the Western Meadowlark is a common sight perched on fence posts and prairie grasses throughout our area. In fact, Wyoming proudly adopted the Western Meadowlark as its official state bird in 1927! 🌾

These talented songbirds thrive in open grasslands and prairies, making the Wyoming landscape the perfect place to call home. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to listen for their cheerful melodies as they sing across the plains.

✅ Make sure children and pets stay a safe distance away from the cooking area.
