⚠️ Update (June 5, 2026): Due to current staffing limitations, ranger‑led canoe and tubing excursions will be offered on a reduced schedule this summer. For additional information, please contact us at 434‑933‑4355. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. ⚠️

We're excited to offer ranger-led tubing adventures this summer. ☀️ These trips are roughly 2 miles long. As you float, your guide will share stories of the James River’s history, point out aquatic wildlife and highlight the unique plants and animals.

📅 Limited dates in June and July
🕛 1-4 p.m.
🎟️ $20 per person

What you need to know
🛟 Must be at least 6 years old to participate
🛟 Children ages 6–12 must be accompanied by a guardian

🔭 Our volunteer astronomers will have telescopes available for an up-close view of planets and galaxies, but you may also bring your own telescope to explore these amazing wonders of the night sky with our knowledgeable staff as your guide.
