The City of Gladstone is proud to host Cabela’s National Walleye Tour this Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19.

Roughly 250 anglers will arrive in the area in the coming days as they prepare for the third stop on the tour. The National Walleye Tour (NWT) is the premier professional Walleye tournament circuit in North America, bringing together the sport’s top anglers to compete.

Locals can checkout the weigh-in stations on both days at Van Cleve Park beginning at 3:00 PM.

Let’s give them a big Gladstone welcome! 🎣

Sorry for the lack of posts lately I have been absolutely swamped with reels, drag upgrades, replacing reel parts, setting up coppers, wire divers and the shop has been really busy with anglers fishing the NWT the next 2 days.

Just had to restock Wicked Walleye crawler harness’ 3 times this week and it’s only Wednesday!

Fishing has been lights out here the last couple weeks after what started as kind of concerning at the beginning of the season. Lots of guys catching limits every single day. Pitching a jig and a crawler has been extremely effect along w**d edges. Pulling crawler harness’ has also been extremely effective.

I always tell myself I can’t stand pre fishing and this is a prime example why

This fish went 33.5” and weighed 13.18 spawned out. Easily a 15-16 pounder during pre spawn. I won’t disclose where it was caught as he is fishing the NWT the next couple of days.
