❤️ A Proud Mom Moment ❤️

Many of you know me through Painting It Pretty, but what you may not know is that my son, Colton, has been right beside me for years.

He started helping me when he was just 13 years old, sanding and taking down/hanging doors. Now he’s learning the trade one brush stroke at a time. Today, seeing him continue to learn, work hard, and take pride in doing things the right way makes this mama’s heart so proud.

Many of you know us from Cabins at Castor, but you may not know that I also own Painting It Pretty, my cabinet and interior painting business!

One of the benefits of owning both businesses is getting to use my painting skills to help bring our cabin vision to life. 🎨🏡

This fireplace wall started as raw wood and was transformed into the cozy focal point you see today. Projects like this are a labor of love, and we’re proud that so much of what you see at Cabins at Castor has been built, painted, and finished by our own hands.

Whether I’m helping homeowners update their spaces through Painting It Pretty or creating a cozy getaway experience at Cabins at Castor, my goal is the same: creating beautiful spaces people love.

One of our favorite parts of this journey has been building these cabins ourselves — pouring our time, hard work, and vision into every little detail. 🛠️🌲

We just finished the porches, and now we’re working on installing fireplaces inside the cabins! Seeing everything slowly come together has been so rewarding, and we can’t wait to share the finished spaces with all of you. 🔥✨
