When Moff Gideon needed more Stormtroopers, the crew ran out of armor. So Jon Favreau called in the 501st Legion.

The 501st is a global fan organization whose members build screen‑accurate Imperial costumes. Local troopers showed up in their own meticulously crafted armor and seamlessly filled the background.

They weren't told what they were filming. When the cast walked out, the fans were ready — moving and acting exactly like real Stormtroopers.

Now their home‑made armor isn't just for conventions. It's screen‑used. 🤖🎬
