One of the things that makes a stay at the Yellow Rose so special… 🦌💛

Sometimes, the best part of your getaway isn’t something you planned at all. It’s stepping outside with your morning coffee and finding a beautiful deer quietly enjoying the property.

This is the kind of wildlife encounter that reminds you to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the little moments. 🌿

At the Yellow Rose, you’re not just booking a place to stay—you’re getting a little piece of the Texas outdoors, where wildlife is part of the experience.

Come stay awhile and see what might wander by. 🤎

🏡 There’s something special about our guest book…

One of our favorite things about hosting at Lone Star Cabin in Granbury, Texas is coming in and reading what our guests leave behind in our guest book. ❤️

This note from the Parkers absolutely made us smile. They shared how they were making the move from North Carolina to Texas and chose Lone Star Cabin as a place to relax and unwind while getting their new home ready for move-in. 🏡

Beautiful views, a little w**e, and—of course—their pup enjoying the stay with them. 🐾🍷

These handwritten notes mean so much to us because they remind us that Lone Star Cabin isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to pause, relax, make memories, and enjoy a little Texas time.

We’re so thankful for every guest who takes a moment to write in our book. And yes… we read every single one! 🥰

Every trip doesn’t have to be a luxury resort or a 10-hour flight.

Sometimes the best getaways are a little closer to home. ❤️

A weekend road trip. A new restaurant. A small Texas town you’ve never explored. A beautiful sunset. Or simply finding a new view right here in North Texas.

Living in the Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville and DFW area, we’re surrounded by so many places worth exploring—and sometimes we don’t have to go far to feel like we’ve gotten away.

So, where are you headed next? Or better yet… what’s your favorite weekend getaway within driving distance of DFW? 👇
